You will find a 70 sqm studio with professional floor for movers, a thinkers and writers area, changing rooms, accomodation with independent kitchen for the residents, green areas, swimming pool, a tiny library, a study and reading room, an old barn converted or shared meals an open talks offered in partnership with Podere la Capacciola. The accommodation units are located on site, allowing residents to live and work in close continuity throughout the residency period.
A PLACE THAT
GIVES SPACE
Located in the rural area of Valdichiana in the center of Tuscany, La CAP operates in the village of Sinalunga between Siena and Arezzo, a countryside setting that supports focus and concentration while remaining connected to the life of the surrounding territory. Sinalunga is a Valdichiana point of reference, with productive and commercial activities as well as essential services serving the wider area and has its train station reachable in a 10 minutes walk.
The facilities are part of a complex with 4 hectares of olive groves, an equipped courtyard, a swimming pool, wood oven and outdoor communal areas. These settings allow training, research and artistic practice to extend freely beyond the dedicated indoor spaces, activating the outdoors as a site for experimentation and creative work.

RETHINKING THE COURTYARD
The residency is particularly suited to authors, makers, researchers, movers and artists working across narrative, visual, audiovisual and choreographic practices, while remaining open to broader interdisciplinary approaches. It fosters a context for artistic development that also encourages reflection on cultural policies and contemporary social change. The studio, with its large windows, overlooks the ancient farmyard (the aia), historically a place of exchange, gatherings and shared work.
