BIOGRAPHY

Roxy Ceron (Mexico City) is a visual artist, filmmaker, and maker of analogue special effects (SFX). Working across video, sculpture, photography, and industrial materials, her practice constructs imagined visual worlds inspired by Surrealism and Symbolism, giving form to images that exist beyond conventional representations of reality.

Her research originates in the study of the optical properties of industrial materials, investigating how distortion, reflection, and refraction interact with both natural and artificial light. Through this process, she explores liminal spaces as territories suspended between reality and fiction, presence and absence, materiality and imagination. Experimenting with analogue visual techniques, her work establishes dialogues with digital culture, music, and the legacies of avant-garde cinema, creating immersive environments where perception itself becomes a site of transformation.
