Angelica Racco brings together writing, voice, performance, and sound to explore the relationship between memory, altered states of perception, and the construction of the present.

Considering the voice as both an artistic and political medium, she approaches the body as a sonic instrument attuned to spatial relations and processes of listening. Her current research draws on medieval laudari, whose vocal traditions became embedded in her memory during her early conservatory training. Through digital processing and post-production techniques, she reworks these polyphonic repertoires into contemporary sound compositions, constructing a mystical imaginary of the present.
