LAB with Vidavè (Matteo Vignali e Noemi Dalla Vecchia)
Euripides Laskaridis combines performative tools from his extensive research on ridicule and transformation with his background in physical theatre, contemporary dance, and Greek drama, blending both tragic and comedic elements. By working from the grotesque and everything considered ‘external,’ he guides participants in creating ‘osmotic’ characters through the use of wigs, play, and physical exploration. This workshop aims to uncover the poetry within absurdity, encouraging participants to unleash their unique artistic texture and creative potential.
ABOUT
Vidavè is an Italian based company directed by Noemi Dalla Vecchia and Matteo Vignali, dancers and choreographers that from 2019 worked together to create a personal choreographic aesthetic.
They bridge movement languages from street dances, contemporary dance and somatic practices, integrating the use of texts and voice to support a micro-dramaturgical and musical movement. Their choreographic processes are mostly based on movement research, inspired by musicality of sound and voice. The contexts and concepts they address most in their works are linked to the individual and collective experience of human beings in society, analyzing how the mind and body can find expression through movement.
Tuition
Limited accommodations available on-site (Agriturismo Podere La Capacciola) in double or single rooms located in two apartments. The apartments are equipped with kitchen, and participants will be able to organize their meals independently.
