Social Media & Communications | Freelance Project Collaboration
Location: Sinalunga (SI), Tuscany, Italy
Work arrangement: Hybrid (on-site and remote) – freelance project-based collaboration
Period: October 2026 – July 2027
The selected candidate will be responsible for communications at La CAP, contributing to the storytelling and promotion of the LIEVITO and TRANSIRE residency programmes, funded by the Tuscany Region as part of the PR FSE+ 2021–2027 programme.
We are looking for a curious, reliable, independent and proactive person with a strong visual sensibility, excellent writing skills and an interest in cultural communication. Someone who is eager to observe, experiment and actively contribute to telling the story of La CAP, keeping up with contemporary communication languages, industry trends and the experiences of other cultural organisations, and turning them into original ideas and content.
Responsibilities
Communication & Strategy

Developing La CAP’s communication strategy.

Researching, analysing and monitoring festivals, artistic residencies and cultural organisations.

Contributing to the development of editorial formats, campaigns and storytelling strategies.
Content Production & Management
-
Taking photographs and shooting videos of residency activities, public events and everyday life at the space.

Editing reels and audiovisual content for digital channels.
-
Creating graphic materials using Canva or other graphic design software.
-
Writing informative and promotional copy for digital channels and communication materials (social media, newsletters, website and other communication materials).

Updating content relating to events, services and initiatives.
Project Storytelling
-
Documenting artistic processes and research activities.

Gathering materials, interviews and content in collaboration with artists, curators and teachers.

Producing and publishing content for the main communication channels.

Supporting the promotion of cultural events.

Helping disseminate information across different communication channels.

Coordinating operationally with project partners and external collaborators.
Communication Organisation
-
Planning and managing the editorial calendar.

Updating digital channels and the photographic and audiovisual archive.
-
Collaborating with the internal team and any external professionals involved in communications and content creation.
Requirements
-
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Good knowledge of major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) and their respective communication styles.

Good knowledge of Canva and other graphic design software (Adobe Suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop).

Photography, video production and editing skills (CapCut, Premiere or equivalent software).

An interest in the cultural sector, particularly performing arts, contemporary art and culture, cultural project development and communications.

Accuracy, organisational autonomy, initiative and the ability to work as part of a team.

Based in Tuscany, preferably in the provinces of Siena or Arezzo or nearby areas, with the availability to travel to La CAP when required.

Familiarity with newsletter platforms (e.g. Mailchimp).

Basic knowledge of managing and editing websites using Wix and WordPress.

Excellent command of Italian and English.

Type of Collaboration & Duration
The role will combine remote work with on-site activities at La CAP | Re-Hub. The frequency of on-site work will be agreed with the selected candidate according to the schedule of artistic residencies, public events and activities taking place at the space.
This is a freelance, project-based collaboration, with a flexible part-time commitment depending on scheduled activities.
