Open classes with Alessandro Marzotto Levy

Alessandro Marzotto Levy offers open movement sessions for anyone interested in exploring the body through movement. These gatherings are intended to create a space that brings together listening, transformation, and movement research, while experimenting with practices that translate images into motion. Through simple imagery and the pleasure of gesture, the work aims to expand the movement vocabulary of both dancers and people with little or no experience in dance.

ABOUT

Born in Florence, Alessandro Marzotto Levy is a dancer, choreographer, curator, and teacher working across Europe. He trained between London at the Rambert School and Spain with IT Dansa, where he performed works by Jiří Kylián and Ohad Naharin.

In Groningen, he began developing his own artistic research with Random Collision and collaborated with Jasmine Ellis and Leo Lerus. In 2011, he founded Impermanence Dance Theatre in Bristol and has since taught internationally across several countries. Since 2017, he has also directed projects in Berlin.

After returning to Italy in 2021, he received the DNA Award in 2022 for IRENE and is currently developing TONY, set to premiere in 2026.
